【Announcement】Gindendo's International Initiatives — Featured Content Released on Bespoke Discovery

Bespoke Discoveryお知らせ

At Gindendo, under the philosophy of "conveying thoughts through silver and enshrining them in our hall," we continue to create objects that connect people and time through the material of silver.

It is one of our important missions to carefully convey not only the works themselves but also the history and culture behind them, the techniques that have been passed down, and the feelings put into each piece.

We are pleased to announce that video content and an interview article featuring Gindendo have been published on Bespoke Discovery, a platform that disseminates the value of Japanese culture and traditional crafts to the world.

Bespoke Discovery is a media platform that shares the culture and crafts passed down in various regions of Japan, the history and philosophy behind them, and the thoughts of those who carry them on, both domestically and internationally. It aims to carefully convey not only works and experiences but also the intrinsic value of the land and culture, creating opportunities for people overseas to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture, visit Japan, and experience it firsthand.

Gindendo deeply resonates with this philosophy and has cooperated with this interview, filming, and report.

The newly released content introduces, through video and text, the lineage of metalworking passed down for over 400 years, the craftsmanship of the 12th generation Sōhaku Kamikawa and 13th generation Sōki Kamikawa, the unique Japanese culture of "Atsurae" (custom-made), the reason for working with pure silver, the daily production scenes in the workshop, and Gindendo's cherished philosophy of "craftsmanship that bestows blessings."

We hope you will take a look at the content, which allows you to see Gindendo's history and philosophy that cannot be fully conveyed through the works alone.
